Customize your Flexilocus experience with the right settings and preferences. This guide covers profile settings, integrations, and notification customization to optimize your creator workflow.


Profile Settings

Managing Your Creator Profile Settings

Accessing Profile Settings:

  1. Click on your profile icon or name (top right)
  2. Select "Settings" or "Profile Settings"
  3. Navigate through different setting categories

Available Settings Categories:

Personal Information Updates

Editable Information:

  • Full Name
  • Username (with restrictions)

How to Update:

  1. Navigate to Profile Settings
  2. Click "Edit" next to the field
  3. Make your changes
  4. Save updates
  5. Verify changes if required (email, phone)

Bio and Profile Picture

Profile Picture:

  • Upload new image
  • Crop and adjust
  • Recommended: 1000x1000px minimum
  • Formats: JPG, PNG, WebP
  • Maximum size: 5MB

Bio:

  • Update your creator bio
  • Maximum characters: varies (usually 500-1000)
  • Include relevant keywords
  • Showcase your niche and value

Cover Image (if applicable):

  • Upload banner/cover image for profile
  • Recommended: 1920x1080px
  • Use for branding consistency

Username Changes

Changing Your Username:

  • Navigate to Account Settings
  • Find "Username" section
  • Enter new username
  • Check availability
  • Confirm change (may have cooldown period)

Username Rules:

  • Must be unique
  • Letters, numbers, underscores only
  • No special characters
  • Case-insensitive
  • Minimum and maximum length restrictions

Important Notes:

  • Username changes affect your storefront URL
  • Update your storefront links everywhere
  • May have limitations (e.g., once per 30 days)
  • Old links may break—consider carefully

Location and Language

Location Settings:

  • Update city, state/province, country
  • Control visibility (public, private, brands only)
  • Helps brands find local creators

Language Settings:

  • Select all languages you're fluent in
  • Mark primary language
  • Affects brand discovery and opportunities
  • Update as you learn new languages

Visibility Settings

Profile Visibility Options:

  • Public: Anyone can view your profile
  • Brands Only: Only brands on Flexilocus can view
  • Private: Hidden from discovery

Storefront Visibility:

  • Public: Anyone with link can view
  • Private: Only accessible when logged in

Channel Visibility:

  • Control which channels appear publicly
  • Hide inactive channels
  • Manage featured channels

Integration Settings

Managing Platform Connections

Connected Accounts Overview:

  • View all integrated platforms
  • Check connection status
  • Last sync date/time
  • Manage permissions

Available Integrations:

  • YouTube (OAuth connection)

YouTube Integration Settings

Managing YouTube Connection:

  1. Navigate to Integrations in Settings
  2. Find YouTube section
  3. View connection status

What You Can Do:

  • Connect: Link your YouTube channel
  • Disconnect: Remove the connection
  • Reconnect: Fix connection issues
  • Manage Permissions: Control what data is shared
  • Sync Now: Manually trigger data sync

Data Syncing:

Permissions You've Granted:

What Flexilocus CANNOT Do (Never Granted):

  • Post on your behalf
  • Delete content
  • Access private videos
  • Modify channel settings

Instagram Integration Settings

Managing Instagram Connection:

  • Similar to YouTube integration
  • Connect, disconnect, or reconnect
  • View sync status
  • Manage permissions

Instagram-Specific Settings:

  • Account type (Personal, Creator, Business)
  • Which Instagram account is connected (if you have multiple)
  • Business account features (if applicable)
  • Insights access (requires Professional account)

Data Sync Options:

  • Follower count sync
  • Engagement metrics
  • Story views
  • Reel performance

Disconnecting Integrations

How to Disconnect:

  1. Go to Integration Settings
  2. Find the platform you want to disconnect
  3. Click "Disconnect" or "Revoke Access"
  4. Confirm your decision
  5. Connection is removed

What Happens After Disconnecting:

  • Automatic data syncing stops
  • Previously synced data remains in your profile
  • You can manually update statistics
  • You can reconnect anytime

Why You Might Disconnect:
