Channel Management
Channels are the heart of your Flexilocus profile. This comprehensive guide covers everything you need to know about adding, managing, verifying, and optimizing your content channels to attract brand collaborations.
Understanding Channels
What Are Channels?
Channels are your content platforms where you create and publish content for your audience. In Flexilocus, a channel represents each individual social media account, content platform, or distribution method you use.
Supported Channel Types:
- YouTube: Video content platform
- Instagram: Photos, Reels, Stories, and IGTV
- TikTok: Short-form video content
- X (formerly Twitter): Microblogging and social networking
- LinkedIn: Professional networking and content
- Newsletter: Email newsletter subscribers
- Podcast: Audio content distribution
Why Channels Are Important for Collaborations
Channels are essential because:
- Discovery: Brands search for creators based on specific platforms
- Verification: Channels prove you own and operate these accounts
- Statistics: Channel data helps brands evaluate fit and potential ROI
- Pricing: Different channels and audience sizes command different rates
- Proposals: Brands create proposals for specific channels
- Deliverables: Collaborations are executed through your channels
- Performance: Results are measured at the channel level
Verified vs Unverified Channels
Unverified Channels:
- Just added to your profile
- Pending admin review
- May have limited visibility
- Cannot be used for active collaborations yet
Verified Channels:
- ✅ Approved by Flexilocus admin team
- Visible to brands in discovery
- Can be used for collaborations
- Shows professionalism and legitimacy
- Higher trust from brands
Platform-Specific vs Multi-Platform Approach
Single Platform Focus:
- Specialize in one platform (e.g., YouTube only)
- Deep expertise in that platform's algorithm and best practices
- Easier to manage and maintain
- May limit collaboration opportunities
Multi-Platform Strategy:
- Present on multiple platforms
- Diversified audience and revenue streams
- More collaboration opportunities
- Can offer cross-platform packages to brands
- Requires more time and resource management
Best Practice: Start with your strongest platform, then gradually add others as you grow.

- Your channel appears because you selected this category
- Brand reviews your profile and reaches out
Multiple Category Advantage:
- Appear in more brand searches
- Attract diverse collaboration opportunities
- Showcase your versatility
Category Specificity:
- Some brands search broadly ("Lifestyle")
- Others search very specifically ("Vegan Cooking")
- Being in the right category is critical for discovery

Benefits:
- Hyper-targeted brand discovery

Setting a Primary Channel Per Platform

- Represents your main presence on that platform
How to Set Primary:

- Find the channel you want as primary
- Look for "Set as Primary" toggle or button
- Enable it
- Other channels on that platform become secondary
What It Affects:
- Order of channels on your storefront

Managing Active/Inactive Channels
Active Channels:

Reactivating:
- Simply toggle back to "Active"
- Channel becomes visible again
Deleting Channels (Soft Delete)

- You can potentially restore it later
- Different from permanently deleting
How to Delete:
- Navigate to Manage Channels
- Select the channel to remove
- Click "Delete" or "Remove Channel"
- Confirm your decision
- Channel is removed from your profile
When to Delete:
- You no longer own/control that channel
- Channel was closed or banned
- Duplicate entry
- Channel doesn't meet platform requirements
Important Notes:
- Delete channels you no longer control
- Don't delete channels with active collaborations
- Deleting a channel may affect ongoing proposals
Switching Between Channels in Collaborations
When a brand reaches out:
Single-Channel Collaborations:
- Brand proposes work on one specific channel
- You accept or negotiate for that channel
Multi-Channel Collaborations:
- Brand wants to work across multiple of your channels
- Proposal includes packages for different channels
- You can accept some and decline others
Proposing Alternative Channels: If a brand reaches out for Channel A, but Channel B is a better fit:
- Respond in the collaboration chat
- Suggest your alternative channel
- Explain why it's a better fit
- Provide statistics for the alternative
- Brand can modify their proposal
Channel Selection in Proposals:
