Personal Account Settings

Managing Your User Account

Your personal account settings are separate from your organization settings. These control your individual user experience on Flexilocus.

Accessing Account Settings

How to Access:

  1. Click your profile icon (top right)
  2. Select "Settings" from dropdown
  3. Click "Account" tab
  4. Or navigate to Settings > Account

Personal Profile Information

Editable Fields:

  • First name
  • Last name
  • Display name
  • Profile picture
  • Email address
  • Phone number (optional)
  • Job title
  • Department

How to Update:

  1. Settings > Account > Personal Information
  2. Click "Edit" button
  3. Modify fields
  4. Save changes

Profile Picture:

  • Click on current picture or placeholder
  • Upload new image
  • Crop and adjust
  • Save

Requirements:

  • JPG or PNG format
  • Maximum 5MB
  • Minimum 200x200 pixels
  • Square recommended

Email and Password Management

Changing Email Address:

  1. Settings > Account > Email
  2. Click "Change Email"
  3. Enter new email address
  4. Verify current password
  5. Confirmation email sent to new address
  6. Click link to confirm
  7. Email updated

Important Notes:

  • Used for login
  • All notifications sent here
  • Must verify new email
  • Old email immediately disabled

Changing Password:

  1. Settings > Account > Security
  2. Click "Change Password"
  3. Enter current password
  4. Enter new password
  5. Confirm new password
  6. Save changes

Password Requirements:

  • Minimum 8 characters
  • At least one uppercase letter
  • At least one lowercase letter
  • At least one number
  • Special characters recommended

Forgot Password:

  1. Logout or go to login page
  2. Click "Forgot Password"
  3. Enter email address
  4. Check email for reset link
  5. Click link
  6. Create new password
  7. Login with new password

Account Security

Security Best Practices:

  • Use strong, unique password
  • Don't share login credentials
  • Review active sessions
  • Enable two-factor authentication (when available)
  • Log out on shared devices

Active Sessions:

  1. Settings > Account > Security
  2. View "Active Sessions"
  3. See all logged-in devices
  4. Review location and device info
  5. Revoke suspicious sessions

Two-Factor Authentication (Coming Soon):

  • Extra security layer
  • SMS or authenticator app
  • Required for sensitive actions
  • Recommended for all users

Account Verification Status

Verification Levels:

  • Email Verified ✓
  • Phone Verified (optional)
  • Organization Verified
  • Payment Method Verified

Why Verification Matters:

  • Full platform access
  • Trust and credibility
  • Payment processing
  • Premium features

How to Verify:

  • Email: Click link in welcome email
  • Phone: Add in settings, confirm code
  • Organization: Complete profile, submit for review
  • Payment: Add valid payment method

Deleting Your Account

Before You Delete:

  • Permanent action
  • Cannot be undone
  • All data deleted
  • Active collaborations will be affected
  • Contact support for enterprise accounts

How to Delete Account:

  1. Settings > Account > Delete Account
  2. Review warnings
  3. Enter password to confirm
  4. Select deletion reason
  5. Click "Permanently Delete Account"
  6. Confirmation email sent
  7. Click final confirmation link
  8. Account deleted within 24 hours

What Happens:

  • Immediate logout
  • All collaborations archived
  • Creators notified
  • Data deleted (30-day grace period)
  • Organization stays if you're not sole member
  • If sole member, organization also deleted

Alternatives to Deletion:

  • Downgrade to Free plan
  • Transfer organization ownership
  • Temporarily deactivate (contact support)

Brand Profile Settings

Managing Your Brand Profile

Your brand profile is what creators see when they discover you or receive invitations from you.

Accessing Brand Profile Settings

How to Access:

  1. Settings > Organization
  2. Or Settings > Brand Profile
  3. Edit profile information

Updating Company Information

Company Details:

  • Organization name
  • Description
  • Industry
  • Company size
  • Founded year
  • Website URL
  • Headquarters location

How to Update:

  1. Settings > Organization > Company Info
  2. Click "Edit"
  3. Update fields
  4. Save changes

Description Best Practices:

  • 2-4 paragraphs
  • Explain what you do
  • Highlight values
  • Mention achievements
  • Appeal to creators
  • Keep it authentic

Brand Categories

Selecting Categories:

  1. Settings > Brand Profile > Categories
  2. Click "Add Category"
  3. Select from dropdown
  4. Add multiple (recommended: 3-7)
  5. Drag to reorder by priority
  6. Save

Brand Voice and Values

Brand Voice Settings:

  2. Select tone attributes:

Brand Values:

  • List core values
  • Explain each
  • Show how you demonstrate them
  • Help creators understand fit

Marketing Preferences

  2. Define:
    • Age ranges
    • Gender breakdown
    • Income levels
    • Education
    • Interests
    • Geographic focus
    • Psychographics

Controlling Brand Visibility

Discovery settings control how creators can find and contact your brand.

Allow Creator Discovery Toggle

What It Does: Controls whether your brand appears in creator discovery search results.

Enabled (Default):

  • Brand visible in discovery
  • Creators can find you
  • Can receive proposals
  • Appears in searches
  • Listed in brand directory

Disabled:

  • Not in discovery results
  • You must reach out first
  • No inbound proposals
  • Private approach
  • Manual outreach only

How to Toggle:

  1. Settings > Discovery > Visibility
  2. Toggle "Allow Creator Discovery"
  3. Save changes

When to Enable:

  • Actively seeking partnerships
  • Want inbound interest
  • Have capacity for proposals
  • Building creator network
  • Open to opportunities

When to Disable:

  • Only working with existing creators
  • At capacity

Minimum Follower Requirements

Set minimums to filter which creators can reach out to you.

Per-Platform Minimums:

  2. Set minimums for each platform:
    • YouTube: X subscribers
    • Instagram: X followers
    • TikTok: X followers
    • X/Twitter: X followers
    • LinkedIn: X connections
    • Newsletter: X subscribers
    • Podcast: X subscribers

Strategy by Requirement:

No Minimum:

  • Open to all creator sizes
  • Testing micro-influencers
  • Maximum reach
  • More proposals to review

Low Minimum (5K-10K):

  • Focus on micro-influencers
  • High engagement priority
  • Budget-conscious
  • Niche audiences

Medium Minimum (50K-100K):

  • Established creators
  • Balance of reach and cost
  • Professional content
  • Most common setting

High Minimum (500K+):

  • Macro-influencers only
  • Significant reach focus
  • Large campaigns

Managing Notifications

Control how and when you receive notifications from Flexilocus.

Email Notification Settings

Access Email Settings:

  1. Settings > Notifications > Email
  2. Toggle individual notification types
